Arinn is LOYTEC’s authorised Competence Center partner for Scandinavia. We specialise in intelligent building automation and help find solutions tailored to each individual project — from a technical, practical and financial perspective.
We do not perform the installations ourselves. This is done by our network of certified Competence Partners in the Nordic region. Our role is to contribute knowledge, sparring, and the right products, ensuring projects have a good and stable foundation from the start.
The experience is built on over 20 years of work with building automation and projects in Denmark and Scandinavia. We make that experience available through technical support, LOYTEC training, procurement advice, and as speakers for organisations and decision-makers who want greater insight into modern buildings and energy solutions.
Arinn — the fire that illuminates
Arinn is an Old Norse word. It means hearth – the central point in any building, from which light, heat, and ventilation emanated.
It might sound like a coincidence. It isn't.
The hearth was the world's first building automation. One installation controlled three systems simultaneously: the heat kept the cold out, the light illuminated the room, and the smoke drew fresh air in from outside through leaks and cracks. Intelligent, integrated — and located in the building's absolute heart.
That's exactly what we do today. Just with modern technology.
The name Arinn is known in all three Scandinavian languages. In Danish and Norwegian as Arinn — the fireplace. In Swedish as Arin or the old dialect word business — same root, same fire.
We chose this name because we believe that intelligent buildings are not a new phenomenon. They are a reinvention of something people have known for millennia: that a well-regulated indoor climate is not a luxury. It is the foundation for everything else.
